Why did you choose Hood College?

The reason why I choose to come to Hood is because Hood is a small friendly institution. The academic environment is perfect. The teachers are friendly and always there to help me prosper with my education.

Have you participated in an internship or leadership opportunity in the local area or on campus?

I have participated in the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick, MD. Also, I have interned at Governor Thomas Johnson Middle school and high school.

What did you gain from that experience?

From these experiences, I gained great leadership skills. I gained the ability to work with children who are not as fortunate as others.

What is your most memorable experience at Hood?

Participating in Liberation Weekend hosted by BSU. Also, having the opportunity to hear Elijah Cummings speak.

What do you value most about your relationships with your professors?

At Hood there is a small classroom setting, so it is easier to communicate with my professors. I value the fact that I can meet with my professors whenever needed. They always supply me with great advice to better my education.

What is something that surprised you about Hood?

One thing that surprised me about Hood is the diversity. There’s a great variety of ethnicities at Hood.

What was your most rewarding class or academic experience at Hood? Why?

One of my most rewarding academic experiences is learning to become a better writer. Also, becoming an English Lit and Communication Arts major.

When you aren’t in class, what is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

I like participating in on campus activities, such as BSU and CAB events.

What is your favorite campus event?

My favorite campus event is May Madness.
