How has your Hood education benefited you?
It has provided me with the skills and discipline to become an attorney.

How did your time at Hood prepare you for the future?
I was able to take skills with me that I had learned throughout all my courses, specifically, my honors courses, political science courses, and English courses to prepare for law school. I also ran Cross Country and Track and Field and learned discipline and perseverance throughout this experience.

What were your extracurricular experiences?
Yes, my cross country running and track and field work. I was a captain on both teams and learned discipline and hard work.

Did you decide your major right away?
I decided my major right away because I knew I wanted to do something involving politics and the law, which also could incorporate a major writing role.

What is your favorite memory of Hood?
My favorite memory of Hood was becoming an All Conference Athlete in both cross country and track and field. I also have great memories from giving my Honors Thesis presentation.

Who were your mentors at Hood?
I had a few mentors at Hood. Brent Ayer, my cross country and track coach. Paige Eager, Janis Judson, and Hoda Zaki, my political science professors.

What is your opinion on the value of a Hood education?
I have very strong opinions on the value of a Hood education. I was able to become an attorney in Washington,DC following my education from Hood and Rutgers University School of Law. I value all of my experiences greatly and know that I am where I am today because of this education.

What is your opinion on the value of a liberal arts education?
I strongly value a liberal arts education. It allows you to explore many different options and opportunities that you will not get at a larger university.

What would you say to students applying to Hood?
I would strongly encourage them to go to Hood. It has instilled discipline and hard-work in me, and allowed me the opportunity to attend a top 100 law school and become an attorney in Washington, D.C.

What role has your Hood education played in your career?
It has helped me attain my personal goals of becoming a lawyer and going to law school.

Why did you choose to attend Hood College?
I loved the liberal arts education, atmosphere, and athletic climate. I loved the proximity to Washington, D.C., and the value this education provides.
