Why did you choose Hood College?

I chose Hood College because it is a quaint college and I was able to commute all four years. I also chose Hood because they have a great Political Science department, which I was interested in.

What is your most memorable experience at Hood?

My most memorable experience was watching my sisters graduate from Hood. I was very proud of them and it made me want to pursue my studies at Hood and work hard.

What is something that surprised you about Hood?

What surprised me about Hood is how involved the President is and how often you see her walking around campus and interacting with students.

What opportunity were you most grateful for?

I am most grateful for the opportunity to go to Annapolis for Maryland Higher Education Day my junior year. It really spoke to my interests and it was also fun to spend the day with fellow students and Hood’s former President.

What was your most rewarding class or academic experience at Hood? Why?

My most rewarding class was American Constitutional Law, because it really challenged me but it made me more interested in studying law after college.

What is your favorite campus event?

My favorite campus event is when Hood brings in different types of speakers to talk. It is interesting to hear from all sorts of people and gather different viewpoints.

What are your goals for the near and distant future?

I will be attending Penn State Dickinson Law School in the fall of 2016 to pursue my J.D. My ultimate goals are either to attend the University of Las Vegas and obtain my L.L.M. in Gaming Law to work as an in-house counsel, or to work in the field of entertainment law.

How has your Hood education benefited you?

Being a student at Hood has helped me with networking opportunities and it has also helped me connect with a fantastic faculty. I feel that I am a more well-rounded person after my four years at Hood and I will take the skills I’ve learned here with me into law school.

What would you say to students applying to Hood?

Take the time and extra effort to apply to the Honors Program. It has helped me to view different perspectives on society because of the unique classes offered and it helped me become more involved in the community.
