Why did you choose to pursue a graduate degree?

I wanted to further my education in teaching mathematics at the high school level.

Why did you choose Hood College Graduate School?

Hood is very close to where I work. The schedule of classes works very well for current teachers.

What do you value most about your relationships with your professors?

The professors are very easy to work with. They are very helpful and accommodating.

What was your most rewarding class or academic experience at Hood? Why?

I enjoyed taking the course, The History of Math, because I learned so much about math history and how to incorporate it into my personal classroom experience.

How do you manage your many other obligations such as work and family with the demands of graduate school?

I often find myself completing my homework assignments for Hood over the weekend.

Can you offer any tips to prospective students?

Hood’s faculty is very welcoming, and they provide their students with a wealth of information. I have truly enjoyed my experience at Hood.

When you aren’t in class, what is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

I enjoying running, doing crossword puzzles and shopping!
