Why did you choose to pursue a graduate degree?
I enjoy being a student. I had the goal of being a professional student when I was younger. By pursuing a graduate degree, I am living my dream.
Why did you choose Hood College Graduate School?
I chose Hood College because I earned my undergraduate degree here. Hood College’s location is convenient, the campus is beautiful, the tuition is affordable, and the faculty and staff are helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. I also found the Educational Leadership program to be exactly what I was looking for.
How did your degree help you further your professional or personal life?
My degree combined two areas of interest: education and leadership. As a result of this degree, I am confident I can hold a leadership position within the education field. I learned a lot about myself and am certain I am a better person, both personally and professionally, as a result of completing the degree program.
Who is your favorite faculty member and why?
I can’t choose just one! There are so many great faculty members at Hood College, and I was lucky to be led, encouraged, and inspired by so many great people: Jamie Cannon, Jennifer Cuddapah, Greg Edmundson, Keith Harris, Roger Stenersen, and Paulette Shockey. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me, their inspiration and encouragement, and how they’ve helped me grow.
What would you share with prospective students about your graduate experience at Hood?
I loved my experience at Hood College. You will be challenged and supported throughout your time here. You will learn so much and have your eyes opened to new experiences. You will make friendships and connections that will stay with you. You won’t be disappointed.
