Why did you choose to pursue a graduate degree?
As a member of the fifth generation to own/operate The Frederick News-Post, I wanted to hone my management skills so that I could be as valuable to the organization as I possibly could.

Why did you choose Hood College Graduate School?
I am among the fifth generation in my family to attain a degree from Hood College. This factored greatly into my decision. I had also heard that it had a great management program (which was confirmed as I moved through the program). Since I live in Frederick, that fact that Hood was very convenient for me was also a factor.

How did your degree help you further your professional or personal life?
I learned a great deal of practical skills, and gained a deep understanding of a number of business concepts that I have been able to bring back to my company. It has made me a better manager and leader.

Who is your favorite faculty member and why?
Well, this is a loaded question. Hood has so many great faculty members, as well as a fantastic group of adjunct instructor. But since you asked, Professor David Gurzick is right up there!

What would you share with prospective students about your graduate experience at Hood?
Hood is a great community in a great community (Frederick). The classes are engaging and fun, and on the whole the faculty are exciting and approachable. I truly believe that Hood College achieves its mission of preparing its students to excel in meeting the challenges of the future.
